NEW YEAR'S EVE 2009

Liquor store line justified best damn martini EVER :-) I rock!New years was a RIOT!!!!! Insanity at its finest!!

We got to "the Hotel" at 10pm -- oops apparently we should have gotten there at 9 ... the line is out of control. Fortunately Laura starts calling every person in her phone to get us in... and Steven comes out to save our night - thank god because my toes were freezing. There were over 2000 people at the hotel that night and it was PACKED. Adam and Tony were working so they really couldn't play but we had lots of other people to play with, Yay!! Laura, Sharlie, brittany and I did a four-way kiss at midnight much to the joy of the 12 boys that were standing around us yelling... that was crazy fun - So after FINALLY retrieving my coat from the coat check we left and went to V.I. for breakfast and had an awesome super chatty waitress. Then Adam and Tony caught up with us and we went to sharlie and tony's house for our own after party. Finally went to bed around 6 am after several rounds of martinis. I think I really have mastered this martini thing. Thursday night we chilled at the Huka -- never been there before... can I tell you how much I love huka?? Freak of nature how did I not discover this before?? This is awesome!! Watermelon, white peach, and the infamous "pearl necklace" (don't get excited its coconut, sweet melon and peach) Spent way too much money, had way too much fun, and I'm having boy troubles already but god its fun ;-D

Goals 2009

1. Let go of the hate... and my past. Mistakes were made, people who I love were lost, and feelings were hurt. Thats all in the past and there isn't jack-shit that I can do about that now. There are a couple of people who I would love to tell that I still love them and miss them and they will always be that hole in my heart and I wish them the very best in life.

2. Be a nicer person. What??? Me??? I know, I can hear you protesting already BUT sometimes my attempts at humor miss the mark completely and I offend the crap out of people when I think I'm just being silly and/or funny. I'm working on it.

3. Follow through. There are several HUGE things that I want this year and I had better get my finances in order or its not gonna happen. I expect a lot from myself and I have no one but myself to rely on to get it for me. I'm gonna make 2009 be great. no more waiting around and hoping things work out.

Being twenty-five is relatively painful. Ok, fine so I'm old but I'm fighting it. Going out dancing every other day - in heels no less. I need something cute and flat apparently because my feet are in pain. I'm going to have some KILLER sexy legs in a month though... This is one hell of a work out program! Busy weekend!!!

Friday night Laura and I went to Habits (cougar central!! We were the youngest people there) and we were dancing and drinking and having a great time and then packed up and went to Liquid Joes to go see my FAVORITE new local band "The Better life Band" with the amazingly awesome Derick (he's the one in the middle - who I met Monday night at the villiage inn... ahhh good times :-) That night I met the rest of the band including the amazing bassist Mike who had a half-hour conversation about which bass would be good for me to start with. Did I tell you we're starting a band?? Amy you better start practicing guitar - and Jeff can be our drummer!!!!! Yayayayayayayayayayyayayayayayayaya!!!!!!!!!

So anyway then Saturday night after work I went to Ginza the sushi bar downtown with laura, adam, tony, justin and teddi. I made them order for me because I'm such a noob to the whole sushi bar thing I didn't know what I wanted! Fortunately Laura ordered and split with me and it was SO good!!! YES ME!!! The stupid girl who CRIED in the middle of market street grill because her salad had two stupid little pink fish on it was eating sushi with eel Can you believe it?? Me either but there it is.

Then we went to the Hotel and got the whole VIP treatment - it was fab - you know drinking our asses off, champagne, private table, full access to the entire bar it was great! As to what happened there... well....

I plead the fifth.

So then we went to the Denny's and Tony dropped his pants and I ate an entire slice of french toast drowning in ranch. Oh wait no I didn't Adam ate half of it for me. Gross. Apparently me and Tony can't hang out together any more because neither one of us knows when to stop - Adam just about had to tackle Tony to get him to sit down and put his pants back on. (oops Amy I didn't tell you any of this part.... now I'm in trouble!!!)

And yesterday I got to hang with Amy, Seth and my kids - nice relaxing day and definately feeling the love!!!

God I really love life right now!! Its wild and crazy but FUN!!!

Went to Bliss w/my new friend Laura last night... she is waaay too cute all the boys completely fall in love with her at first sight... good thing adam was there to defend us!!! It was hilarious ... guys are such dorks and will come up and start rubbing up and dancing right up on ya but fortunately Adam was very protective and took good care of us girls and kept the creepy's away from us. I'm sad now... I've been having a pretty good day up til now, and now I'm just sad. He is not thriving or surviving. I realize that "It's not my problem" but I still care about him!! I want him to have a wonderful glorious fabulous life! I want him to have GOOD PEOPLE around him who love him and for him to have good times and some fun!! I want him to pick himself up off the floor and do something with his life!!!

But he seems determined though to run himself into the ground. He can't check the bank balance before he goes shopping. He won't sell the house but He can't pay his bills, and he doesn't have any source of income.

Amy told me a story recently about how dominick wants to get rid of all his toys so that no one else can ever play with them. Thats sounds like what jon is doing, but dominick is THREE.

So today I'm sad. I wish there was a way for me to fix him!!! I think anything I do is just enabling jon to be helpless. So, I guess I'll just hafta be sad for now.

It's been two weeks since I cyber-stalked anyone!!! Yay!

Ok before you call the police, let me explain. With technology being what it is, Its very easy to find someone on facebook (um which YAY I've found people that I've wondered about for YEARS) Myspace and of course, blogger. And I'll confess I was curious... I wondered if the people who used to be closest to me and were going through some pretty big changes of their own had grown or changed or matured ... you know if these changes were good changes or bad. And there are several people I've been cyber stalking because of this curiousity.

Well I'm over it.

As far as I can tell, there's not any real growing/maturing becoming a better person going on. That goes for everyone who used to be in my life and isn't anymore because those that I can't cyberstalk I still hear about them and they seem to be the same too.

This has been a real catalyst for me personally. I'm becoming the person I've always wanted to be but was too held back by the "haters" to ever achieve! Just wait guys. Those of you who didn't bail on me and knew how to be a friend are going to see some amazing things happen in the next while :-)

Bubbles???

This is officially the weirdest drink ever. One of my friends says shes completely addicted to this and that its called "bubbles". See the black balls at the bottom? tapioca balls, in a coconut type drink (almost like a horchata) mmmm... nothing better than weird gooey balls at the bottom of your drink.

I don't know about this... but its waaaaaay cool for halloween!!! LOL!!

If you visit Taiwan or Hong Kong you can't help but notice the unique bubble teashops on every corner. Bubble Tea to Taiwan is what coffee or soda is to the U.S.
Just like in Taiwan, Bubble Tea shops are popping up all over the world.

The U.S. is also now feeling the growth. Hundreds of locations serve Bubble Tea in California alone. Bubble Tea originated in Taiwan in the early 1980's at a small tea stand. In 1983 Liu Han-Chieh introduced Taiwan to tapioca pearls. The new fad was to add tapioca pearls into a favorite drink. Most of the time tapioca pearls were served in cold infused tea. After the tea and flavor were shaken well, it topped tapioca pearls that were sitting on the bottom of a clear cup. The tapioca pearls also looked like bubbles, thus also became to known as "Bubble Tea." Bubbles floated on the top your drink and bottom of your drink.

Bubble tea is also known as boba drink, pearl tea drink, boba ice tea, boba, boba nai cha, zhen zhou nai cha, pearl milk tea, pearl ice tea, black pearl tea, tapioca ball drink, BBT, PT, pearl shake, QQ (which means chewy in Chinese) and possible many others.

Tapioca pearls are black, but can sometimes be found to be white or transparent. Depending on the ingredients of the pearl, the color varies. I've been told that the white and translucent pearls are made of caramel, starch and chamomile root extract. The black pearl includes sweet potato, cassava root and brown sugar, which add the black color.

The consistency of tapioca pearls are somewhere between jell-o and chewing gum. They are the size of a marble. They are also known as the "boba" drink in Western China because it is described as to having the same texture as the female breasts. **NOTE Yes and Ewwwwwwwww***
A clear cup with black balls on the bottom can easily identify bubble Tea drinks. Another obvious trait is a huge fat straw. The fat straw is needed so that the tapioca pearls can be sucked up with the drink and eaten. Bubble Tea's appearance definitely makes it unique. One thing is for certain. Bubble Tea is not a fad. It's a trend. This drink is addictive. If you've had a good one before then you know what we're talking about.

OMG! Somebody has way too much time!!

So last night I get a call from my neice kaeshia. She asks me when I'm going to be home. I tell her that Its prolly going to be 20 min to a half hour. Several days ago I asked her for her keys to my house back because I was really tired of coming home and not even being able to set my shit down because her and her boyfriend were sprawled all over my living room. If they weren't in the living room they were downstairs doing only-god-knows-what in the TV room or they were using my internet.

Several months ago when kaeshia decided that living with us for $300 a month was just wayyyyy to expensive I told her that I didn't mind if she hung out at the house once in a while. When I said that, I didn't think she would be over ALL THE TIME. She just thinks she can have all the benefits of living with us and none of the expense. well sorry sweetheart but why should i have the inconvience of a roommate and none of the benefits??

Anyway, back to my story. Last night She says to me "well I've got Moose and I need to drop him off to your house" moose would be her dog that we are taking care of until she can get settled back in her mothers house. guess she figured out that bills kinda suck huh? Being a grown up isn't all peaches and cream?? Hmmm... seems to be a lesson a lot of us are learning in whole new ways :-p

So she gets to my house 15 minutes later and calls me again. I tell her to open the back fence and push moose in and he can go in the dog door. She says "but we wanted to hang out with him..." I say sorry and she says "ok what-ever"

I get home 20 minutes later and find that she and boyfriend have broken into my house and have taken the place over yet again. So much for packing all the shit sitting on my coffee table. *sigh* I'm irritated as hell so I take myself and my dog for a ride to go buy halloween. I get back and start cleaning the kitchen... you'd think slamming pans would make you feel better but it doesn't. So after their movie they are about to slide out without even saying thanks or goodby ... as usual... when I say to kaeshia "you know I love you right??" she says yes and i say something bitchy like "cuz I took your keys away for a reason. Don't break into my house again that's not cool. If you want to use my stuff you have to ask me!" she says "Uh I don't see the problem here its not that big of a deal" and I respond with "I know you don't see it as a big deal, that's why I'm telling you it is" I say "You can hang out and watch movie with me if you want to"

to which she stomps out the door.

I tell her as she's stomping off "and you could use your manners and say hello when you get here and goodby when you leave" to which she says "I don't gotta say bye"

Mature.

Anyway 15 minutes later I start getting txted.

"For the record you have no room to talk about manners. Don't worry i won't be hangin out at that house til your moved out"

to which i replied:

"Jon agrees with me so you won't be using him anymore either"

"I don't use my uncle you do"

"You ignore moose when you are here! I have to tell you to pay attention to him! Always laying all over my house and you don't contribute jack shit! Here take care of my dog then I'll come use your shit and not even say THANKS!"

"What the f*** do I use? your tv? Wow! I offered to give you back the keys when I left and you said don't worry about it"

Anyway, the txts got MUCH uglier and meaner after that point and I called her a user and a spoiled brat and she called me .... well she sunk reallllllly low (she IS her mothers daughter after all!! What more can you expect!!) and I know that real life is going to smack the shit out of her just like it has the rest of us.

Opinions? Too much? should I have let it go and just made jon deal with it?? If you know jon you know he's passive aggressive about this sort of stuff. Tell me what you think!!!!

Life sucks and then ya dye....

Ok so the hair didn't turn out so great... but its not because amy didn't try, god love her :-) I wasn't born blonde and it seems to be very difficult to get my hair to STAY blonde. So we're going dark again for another six months (through the winter) and then I'm chopping it all off and bleaching it blonde again. Whatever.

Speaking of six months, it seems that I'm going to have to "answer to the man" for the next six months despite all my good intentions. I have to get my money situation settled before I decide to really try to fly - which means paying off both of my credit cards, getting myself together, and either getting a nice raise OR getting a new job. It also means moving into my mothers basement. Those of you who know me will know how un-thrilled I am by this development, but it really is better for my financial health. I ran my "numbers" through this (go all the way to the bottom and you'll see the link for the worksheet - type in all the numbers and decide where your money will all go. Anyway I figured out that right now w/car payments et all I would not have ANY thing left over for anything and I would NEVER get away from my credit cards because I would be paying the minimum $30 as they charge me $20 interest.

So I've decided to move in with mom. Yes she smokes, yes its gonna suck, but she's being really cool about everything, trix will be somewhere safe/loved no howling, and I got a mini fridge (its super cute, yes I'm a freakin nerd) I'm planning on always having it two feet away from my couch and full of beer LOL. This way I can get out of debt, get paid better, and figure out my head from my butt. Ok, well I should be able to get out of debt anyway LOL!!

OMG... So I'm listening to Radio from Hell on X96 this morning and they were doing their "Ask-A" feature where they talk to people who are in different area's about their jobs. Today's ask-a was "Ask-a-haunted-house-worker" and featured my ex-boyfriend from a million years ago who has apparently opened up his own haunted house! I caught the website and it links to his myspaz page and I am happy to report that he's a fat-ass! He's also apparently married to a fat-ass who is TEN years younger than his lame ass although they do have three cute kids that I have a hard time believing are his LOL :-)

So anyway there it is... weird start to a wierd morning.

Six Months ago...

* I had just dyed my hair blonde.

* I was SO excited and eager for Memorial Day cuz I knew I'd be hanging with the whole crew... ben and rachelle, taner, eren, seth and amy, shy, kaylee, doc, Jen and Mike, faith, heather and destiny, Shelly and shannon and their kids Heidi, little jenny and her boyfriend who I can't remember his name right now, Liz and will, willow. Boating drinking and eating way too much.

* I spent every weekend partying and having a blast even if it was all way too much drama and bullshit.

* I was looking forward to having a fun fun fun summer playing with ALL my friends.

* Alana had just lost the baby that she was adopting from Vietnam and we were stressing about when/if she would get her next referral. She, Scott and Lizzy were going to Disneyland to celebrate liz's b-day!

* Jon worked at Verizon and was looking at starting school and computer classes.

* I weighed about 30 lbs more than I do right now.

I'm HUGE paranoid when I'm driving. Remember when I got pulled over and had to do the breathalizer?? Yeah its cuz the fucker was following me and I was freaked that it was someone gonna kill me. I drive around the block if someone is following behind me in my car... seriously!

This one is the worst... I'm afraid of being poor. Money terrorizes me - not enough to take care of what I need and/or want. I hate being broke and have broken down in crying fits because my bank account was negative. Seriously its bad - poor jon has had to deal with me - he can tell ya!

I'm really excited to go out and be on my own. I've never had that before. I've ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS lived with someone, and up until I was 26 I lived with several someones. Lol I lived with my MOM til I was 26!!! even after that I've always had roommates - probably part of why my marriage failed I've probably only lived with JUST JON - with no one else - for maybe a total of ONE %#@*ing YEAR!!!! Maybe not even that long!!! Rent was cheap and we were having fun! Now rent is expensive and I'm bored cuz jon's always playing on a computer!! No one around to entertain me :-)

I've always assumed I'd have kids! I'm pretty sure that if I ever do then I'm going to have twins. I don't know why, its just a feeling I have.

I hate apartment hunting

I know I'm a spoiled little brat when it comes to apartments but I need someplace affordable so I can save my pennies and buy a condo next spring, I need a place that will let me have my dog, and I need someplace preferably not so wrecked that I wanna puke when I walk in the door (I looked at a place today that had me gagging it was SO bad) WHY is that so difficult????????????????????????????

I'd prefer a patio so I can use my beautiful bbq, but it can be stored at moms - grrrrrrr why? why? why? WHY? GOD I'm cranky now.

All in all its being a GREAT week!!!! So far this week I've jumped out of a plane, ridden on a sweet ass motorcycle with a strange man, dragged puking best buddy out of a bar restroom (LMAO), installed TWO doorknobs (try it sucker... its harder than you think), installed halogen lights, and put out a fire (with a fire extingusher!!!)

Tomorrow I'm going to see one of my bestest buddies perform in the ballet showcase with the university of Utah department of ballet, friday I'm signing my lease on my new apartment, this saturday I'm going to go pick out a hot tub with one of my friends, and sunday i'm going to come see the Monet to Piccaso exhibit at the UMFA!! Then next week I'm going to the body worlds exhibit. Next Saturday is the my "Making Martini's" class and then the Circus with the kids - unless me and amy decide to ditch in which case lord only knows what kind of trouble I'll be in!! Ima gonna be all sorts of cultured!! I'll take pictures!!
