The pain helps us heal....
Words & Music by Steven Page
The bravest thing I've ever done
Was to run away and hide
But not this time, not this time
And the weakest thing I've ever done
Was to stay right by your side
Just like this time, and every time
I couldn't tell you I was happy when you were gone
So I lied and said that I missed you when we were apart.
I couldn't tell you, so I had to lead you on
But I didn't mean to break your heart.
And if I always seem distracted
Like my minds somewhere else,
That's because it's true, yes it's true
it's this stupid pride that makes me feel
Like I have to follow through
Even half-assedly, loving you
Why must I always speak in terms of cowardice?
When I guess I should have just come out
and told you right from the start
Why must I always tell you all I want is this?
I guess 'cause I didn't want to break your heart
And you said;
"What'd you think that I was gonna do,
Curl up and die just because of you?
I'm not that weak, you know
What'd you think that I was gonna do,
Try to make you love me as much as I love you?
how could you be so low?You arrogant man,
What do you think that I am?
My heart will be fine
Just stop wasting my time"
And now I know that you will be okay,
and that I got what I want and that's rid of you
Good bye
And it's not cause I'll be missing you
That makes me fall apart
it's just that I didn't mean to break
No I didn't mean to break
No I didn't mean to break
Your heart

Swank!!!
Friday night Laura and I went to Habits (cougar central!! We were the youngest people there) and we were dancing and drinking and having a great time and then packed up and went to Liquid Joes to go see my FAVORITE new local band "The Better life Band" with the amazingly awesome Derick (he's the one in the middle - who I met Monday night at the villiage inn... ahhh good times :-) That night I met the rest of the band including the amazing bassist Mike who had a half-hour conversation about which bass would be good for me to start with. Did I tell you we're starting a band?? Amy you better start practicing guitar - and Jeff can be our drummer!!!!! Yayayayayayayayayayyayayayayayayaya!!!!!!!!!
So anyway then Saturday night after work I went to Ginza the sushi bar downtown with laura, adam, tony, justin and teddi. I made them order for me because I'm such a noob to the whole sushi bar thing I didn't know what I wanted! Fortunately Laura ordered and split with me and it was SO good!!! YES ME!!! The stupid girl who CRIED in the middle of market street grill because her salad had two stupid little pink fish on it was eating sushi with eel Can you believe it?? Me either but there it is.
Then we went to the Hotel and got the whole VIP treatment - it was fab - you know drinking our asses off, champagne, private table, full access to the entire bar it was great! As to what happened there... well....
I plead the fifth.
So then we went to the Denny's and Tony dropped his pants and I ate an entire slice of french toast drowning in ranch. Oh wait no I didn't Adam ate half of it for me. Gross. Apparently me and Tony can't hang out together any more because neither one of us knows when to stop - Adam just about had to tackle Tony to get him to sit down and put his pants back on. (oops Amy I didn't tell you any of this part.... now I'm in trouble!!!)
And yesterday I got to hang with Amy, Seth and my kids - nice relaxing day and definately feeling the love!!!
God I really love life right now!! Its wild and crazy but FUN!!!

W O W
It's a symbol of luck, but also entails misfortune before a greater reward.
An occult symbol of resurrection and re-birth, i.e. christ, anti-christ, lucifer, the phoenix, One, return of the messiah, God's incarnation in human form, the visiting that put life on Earth, Jesus.
GOOD LUCK LIKE LUCKY 13
The 13th letter of the alphabet is M . In outlaw biker culture a tatt or patch of the #13 usually means drugs as in Meth or Pot. RUBs and the like often say it stands for Motorcycle.
A tattoist gets a number 13 tattooed on them once they've been in the business for 13years and its a great mark of respect when a tattoist has earnt the right to wear the number 13. Friday the 13th was origninally the day of good luck not bad luck.
Traditional tattoo symbols have kind of lost their meaning, and a certian symbol can mean almost anything. 13 can mean bad luck, it can be associated with the gang MS-13, or it could just be their lucky number.
In playing cards, the Ace can be counted into 13. 13 is mostly used as a lucky number in tattoos, for example you'll often see people with tattoos of a spade with 13 in or around it, this means "ace of spades", and is naturally a symbol of good luck, or even a reminder to always fight to get the best you can get (there is no individual card that is "worth more" than the ace of spades.)
There is also a belief that bad luck recognizes bad luck... hence when bad luck or bad juju is wandering the world looking to start trouble it sees the number 13 and believes it already exists in that space and so therefore goes somewhere else.
Ok I dunno about that last one, but I'm keeping it :-)
Naughty girl being naughty....

The Tales of Beedle the Bard (Harry Potter Series) by J. K. Rowling, J. K. Rowling (Illustrator), Mary GrandPre (Illustrator)
Synopsis
The Tales of Beedle the Bard, a Wizarding classic, first came to Muggle readers’ attention in the book known as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Now, thanks to Hermione Granger’s new translation from the ancient runes, we present this stunning edition with an introduction, notes, and illustrations by J. K. Rowling, and extensive commentary by Albus Dumbledore. Never before have Muggles been privy to these richly imaginative tales: “The Wizard and the Hopping Pot,” “The Fountain of Fair Fortune,” “The Warlock’s Hairy Heart,” “Babbitty Rabbitty and Her Cackling Stump,” and of course, “The Tale of the Three Brothers.” But not only are they the equal of fairy tales we now know and love, reading them gives new insight into the world of Harry Potter. The stories are accompanied by delightful pen-and-ink illustrations by Ms. Rowling herself, featuring a still-life frontispiece for each one. Professor Dumbledore’s commentary—apparently written some eighteen months before his death—reveals not just his vast knowledge of Wizarding lore, but also more of his personal qualities: his sense of humor, his courage, his pride in his abilities, and his hard-won wisdom. Names familiar from the Harry Potter novels sprinkle the pages, including Aberforth Dumbledore, Lucius Malfoy and his forebears, and Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington (or “Nearly Headless Nick”), as well as other professors at Hogwarts and the past owners of the Elder Wand. Dumbledore tells us of incidents unique to the Wizarding world, like hilariously troubled theatrical productions atHogwarts or the dangers of having a “hairy heart.” But he also reveals aspects of the Wizarding world that his Muggle readers might find all too familiar, like censorship, intolerance, and questions about the deepest mysteries in life.Altogether, this is an essential addition to our store of knowledge about the world and the magic that J. K. Rowling has created, and a book every true Harry Potter fan will want to have for their shelves. This purchase also represents another very important form of giving: From every sale of this book, Scholastic will give its net proceeds to the CHILDREN'S HIGH LEVEL GROUP, a charity cofounded in 2005 by J.K. Rowling and Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, MEP. CHLG campaigns to protect and promote children's rights and make life better for vulnerable young people. chlg.orgPublished by the Children's High Level Group, in association with Arthur A. Levine Books, THE TALES OF BEEDLE THE BARD will be available December 4, 2008.
